After the news of the death of composer Ennio Morricone, Metallica reacted by posting a message on social media. Metallica often used the soundtrack “The Ecstasy of Gold” written by Morricone for the film “The Good, The Bad, The Ugly” as an intro to their concerts.
Over the years there are many tributes that the band has done to Morricone during live concerts.
They have posted the following message on social media: “R.I.P. Ennio Morricone. Your career was legendary, your compositions were timeless. Thank you for setting the mood for so many of our shows since 1983.”
