Italian composer Ennio Morricone dies at 91

The great Italian composer Ennio Morricone, very famous all over the world and author of countless highly successful soundtracks, died at the age of 91.

In his long career, Ennio Morricone has sold more than 70 million records. He won the Oscar for his career in 2007 and only in 2016, after five nominations, the one for the best soundtrack for the movie “The Hateful Eight” by Quentin Tarantino.

Metallica made a cover of Morricone’s soundtrack “The Ecstasy of Gold” and was also used as an intro to their live concerts.
