Bring Me The Horizon's Oli Sykes: "We always wanted to be the catchiest, heaviest band"

Bring Me The Horizon were recently interviewed by Radio 1's Daniel P. Carter, you can read some excerpts below.

Keyboardist Jordan Fish said: "Our crowd's a bit more varied than it used to be. That's a cool thing for us. I know some people probably don't like that, but we're not bothered. We like it."

Frontman Oli Sykes said: "We always wanted to be the catchiest, heaviest band, basically. It wasn't intentional to become an A-list radio band, it was just the music we like. We like pop music, we like catchy songs, but we also like heavy songs."

He added: "None of it feels forced, none of it feels like we're selling out. It's real, and it's good. It's undeniably good and I think that's why people from the scene still respect us and new people are getting into it."
