PVRIS' Lynn Gunn: "I don't know if we could ever make a happy record"

PVRIS' Lynn Gunn was recently interviewed by Rock Sound, you can read some excerpts below.

About band's new album, she said: "I'm always working on stuff on my computer and the guys are working on theirs. I feel like we started to work on new stuff as soon as the first record came out. When 'White Noise' was released, we were like, 'Okay, we can start the new stuff now.' I feel like the tension that came before the album’s release and wanting to get it out caused a lot of stress. It left us feeling a bit weird creatively. But as soon as that was done, we were like, 'Now is our time.'"

About the musical direction of new album: "I definitely think that's something that'll continue. But I think it'll touch upon different topics as well. I want to create different things, not just one thing or the other. We're never going to make the same record twice, but it's definitely still cathartic and moody, as well as a little dark. I don't know if we could ever make a happy record."
