Review: Miss May I - Deathless

Screaming. Singing. More screaming. Deathless by Miss May I is another Of Mice and Men or As I Lay Dying record. In fact many of the songs on Deathless had me thinking about songs on Of Mice and Men self named record. This is not at all bad per say, but it is not all good either. The songs are decent and well thought out, they just blend together after awhile into incoherent background noise. Still, Deathless has its moments. Its opening single, I.H.E, lyrically is great as well as the fifth song Bastards Left Behind. Turn Back Time is the biggest deviation from the rest of the album with more of an electronic introduction that certainly catches the listener's attention. Overall I would give Deathless a 6 out of 10 because it has a classic sound that many people, including me like thrown into my metal mix.
