Slipknot's Corey Taylor: "I love the music, but i hate the business"

Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor talked about their song Killpop, to express his love-hate relationship with life as a musician. You can read some excerpts below:

Corey Taylor tells to WGRD: "It's nowhere near what I wrote about. The song is my reflection on my relationship with music, that's who the 'she' is. Not just music, but the music industry. There's the old adage 'be careful what you wish for.' Be careful doing what you love, because sometimes it will turn on you. Any time you mix something that you love and business, you're going to find the rusty cracks in there that piss you off."

He continues: "The song is about how much I still love making music, but also how much I hate the business side, the numbers side, the people in suits who try to run stuff, having to deal with them and having to learn how to talk to them."

"It is what it is," he says. "And we got a great song out of it."
